San Francisco, CA
Stanton Architecture transformed a South of Market (SOMA) hotel into a vibrant, tech-forward destination designed to appeal to the area’s tech-savvy clientele.
The renovation included a full redesign of the hotel’s public spaces and minor exterior enhancements to the first and second floors of this eight-story downtown building. In collaboration with Dawson Design Associates, Stanton Architecture revamped the lobby bar, reimagined the entrance canopy, and modernized the second-floor meeting rooms. The hotel’s restaurant was also rebuilt and rebranded as The Cavalier, now recognized as one of San Francisco’s top dining destinations.
The architectural team added long-term value to the property by smartly reconfiguring under-utilized space, creating eight new guestrooms without altering the building's footprint. This strategic redesign maximized revenue potential while maintaining the hotel’s modern aesthetic.
In addition to aesthetic improvements, the project prioritized functional upgrades, including ADA-compliant features, water-efficient plumbing systems, and updated kitchen facilities. Hotel Zetta seamlessly blends modern design, sustainability, and a focus on the needs of today’s urban travelers, solidifying its place as a premier destination in SOMA.
