San Francisco, CA
The Cavalier is a sophisticated British brasserie and a premier addition to the Big Night Restaurant Group’s portfolio. Designed to provide a refined yet inviting dining experience, it has become a go-to spot for any meal or a casual drink throughout the day.
The architectural scope of the project involved several key enhancements. A speakeasy-style back room was added, offering an exclusive, intimate space for private gatherings and events. The kitchen layout was upgraded to improve efficiency while retaining its original configuration to maintain operational flow. Additionally, the design seamlessly integrated the restaurant with the hotel that houses it, ensuring smooth transitions between dining areas and egress routes while enhancing the overall guest experience.
The 135-seat restaurant is thoughtfully divided into four unique areas: the chic Blue Bar, the classic Main Dining Room, the cozy Wine Stables, and the elegant Rail Car. These spaces, along with the architectural upgrades, blend timeless British charm with modern functionality, creating a dining destination that perfectly complements its vibrant San Francisco surroundings.
