Oakland, CA

The 1431 Jefferson Street development is an 18-story dual-brand hotel with a partial basement. This 275-guestroom hotel offers 207,000 square feet of space in the urban core, complementing the downtown high-rise neighborhood. Its proximity to public transportation makes it an ideal choice for extended-stay tourism. Initially designed with a 95-spot parking structure, the development embraced its transit-friendly location by replacing the parking with a community garden, reinforcing its commitment to sustainable development and providing a welcoming green space for local residents and visitors.

The project features a stacked lobby configuration, providing each brand with its own unique public space experience. The ground floor lobby showcases a local art installation by Kenturah Davis as part of the project's public art contribution.
