San Francisco, CA
The Hampton Inn Downtown is a 15-story, four-star hotel, offering 174 guest rooms in the heart of San Francisco. This modern hotel features a green roof planted with native California grasses, promoting sustainable design while enhancing the urban environment. The ground floor includes retail space, providing convenience for both guests and locals. To maintain the scale and character of the surrounding neighborhood, the hotel’s upper floors are thoughtfully set back from the street, preserving the architectural harmony of the area.
The building’s design blends classic and contemporary elements, with the lower portion clad in a terracotta veneer and the upper and rear facades featuring sleek, modern metallic panels. Accent panels around the window openings create a seamless connection between the upper and lower levels. This hotel is notable for being the first hotel development in San Francisco to break ground after the 2008 recession, and one of the only high-rise hotels to be completed in the city in the past 15 years. The Hampton Inn Downtown stands as a testament to innovative architecture and a new chapter in San Francisco’s hotel landscape.
